Guide: How to create iPhone ringtone using iTunes

In this guide I will teach you how to create an iPhone ringtone using iTunes.

Step 1:
Add file(s) to your iTunes library.

Step 2:
Right click Get Info, then options tab.

Step 3:

Make the start time and stop time the duration of the ringtone you'd like to use (no longer than 40 seconds though). For example, if you'd like to use the first 40 seconds of a song, make the start time 0:00 and the end time 0:40. If you want to use from 1:40-2:20 then do it like that, just make sure you use whichever part of the song you want to be your ringer and also make sure it doesn't exceed 40 seconds. After you've selected which part of the song will be your ringer, click OK.

Step 4:

Right click the song, and click 'Convert Selection to AAC'.

Step 5:
Go to your desktop, and make a folder called Ringtones. Once you've done that, go back to iTunes, right click the newly created clip and click copy. Paste it in the folder you just made.

Step 6:
Rename the file from whateversongyoupicked.m4a to whateversongyoupicked.m4r (in order to see file extensions you might have to play with your settings a bit) (whateversongyoupicked is just the example, you don't need to change the name of the song, just the extension).

Step 7:
Go back to iTunes, and delete the 40 second AAC clip you've made, drag the m4r file on to iTunes.

Step 8:
Sync/Resync your iPhone, and it should automatically add the file to your ringtone folder.

Guide: How to take an iPhone screenshot

You must have iPhone 2.0 firmware installed to use the screenshot feature.

Step 1:
Just hold down the 'Sleep/Wake' button and the 'Home' button, you will see the screen flash white.

And that is it your image will appear in the photo application's Camera Roll. You can sync it to you PC or MAC just like a normal photo.

I have tried this in many different application and it works. So i am sure you can take screenshots of you games and everything else.

Enjoy!

Guide: How to Put an iPhone Into DFU Mode

DFU = Device Firmware Update. Only use DFU mode as a last resort, if a restore using Recovery Mode doesn't work . When you enter your iPhone into DFU Mode it does not load the OS before attempting the restore therefore it is able to Unbrick your Bricked iPhone(it will work 90% of the time).

Step 1

Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your PC or Mac.

Step 2
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

Step 3

After exactly 10 seconds (Count 1 thousand 2 thousand 3 thousand 4 thousand........) release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

The iPhone screen will remain black like this:

Review: Zagg iPhone Full Body invisibleSHIELD 1 month Review

So i have been using the Zagg iPhone 3G Full Body invisibleSHIELD for 1 month and this is my review of it.

There is this part near the Camera its not sticking properly on the back and dust is collecting under it.

Ok. Now on the back corner the shield is pealing off and yes dust is collecting under it.

Another area of peeling is the front corner.

This is a scuff mark left by a key and the phone in the same pocket.
invisibleSHIELD + key = NO!

Basically the invisibleSHIELD on the iPhone still looks great. The phone is protected by the invisibleSHIELD, if not for this i am sure to see more scraches on the phone. Installation of the invisibleSHIELD is the most important part, if you do it properly the shield will look great even after time.
