Android Trojan records phone calls
Warning Android users a new Android Trojan is capable of recording phone conversations, according to a CA security researcher. The malware identified records the actual phone conversations in AMR format and stores the recordings on the device's SD card.
The recorded calls can then be uploaded to a server maintained by an attacker.

Video of explosion at Fukushima nuke plant, radiation leak reported
An explosion at a crippled nuclear power plant in northern Japan on Saturday blew the roof off one building and caused a radiation leak of unspecified proportions, escalating the emergency confronting Japan’s government a day after an earthquake and tsunami devastated parts of the country’s northeastern coast.
Government officials said that the explosion, caused by a build-up of pressure in the reactor after the cooling system failed, destroyed the concrete structure surrounding the reactor but did not collapse the critical steel container inside. They said that raised the chances that they could prevent the release of large amounts of radioactive material and could avoid a core meltdown at the plant.
Kinect Confirmed As Fastest-Selling Consumer Electronics Device
Guinness World Records, the global authority on record breaking, today confirms that the Kinect for the Xbox 360 is the Fastest-Selling Consumer Electronics Device. The hardware, that allows controller-free gaming, sold through an average of 133,333 units per day, for a total of 8 million units in its first 60 days on sale from 4 November 2010 to 3 January 2011.
The sales figures outstrip both the iPhone and the iPad for the equivalent periods after launch.
Quite a claim, isn’t it? Microsoft chief financial officer Peter Klein made a statement during a conference call that the company’s own Kinect is the “fastest selling consumer electronic in history”. That would make Kinect a faster seller than every other game console of this generation.
Klein also said during the call that that Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices division has grown 55% in the past year. The division, which generated $3.7 billion in revenue in Q4 of 2010, encompasses Xbox 360 and PC gaming, the Zune, and the recently released Windows Phone 7. Growth has been attributed to the sale of 6.3 million Xbox 360 consoles during the holiday season, an increase of 21% from last year, as well as the sale of 8 million Kinect sensors in the first 60 days of launch.
